Skin & Makeup Institute

The esthetics program at Skin & Makeup Institute helps students understand the functioning and internal mechanism of the skin. The program will include classroom lectures, video demonstrations, presentations, interactive discussions, hands-on practice, and provision in client services in the student clinic. Training includes facials, ayurvedic, manual lymphatic drainage, bio elements, body treatments, spa certification acne treatment, skin analysis, natural detoxification, chemical exfoliations, microdermabrasion, treatment programs, sun tan applications, fundamentals of makeup, microcurrent, and much more. Students must take and pass a mock state board test before graduating from the program. Morning and evening classes are available.

The Esthetician program at Avalon School of Cosmetology prepares students for the state board exam and for successful practice in the skincare industry. The curriculum covers basic concepts of esthetics as well as state board principle to support the development of competent future industry professionals. Students will acquire proficiency in all areas to sit for the state board written exam, demonstrate proficiency in delivering esthetics services not limited to facials, hair removal, clinical therapies, and body treatments, and professional skills such as customer service, business practices, and communications.
