I received a sample of this product with a purchase I made. Not being very knowledgeable and having problems with hyperpigmentation it took me a LONG time to research and try the product. After purchasing and using color correction makeup I finally tried the product and was totally amazed! After the first use one red splotch almost completely disappeared and the other was noticeably diminished. I use it once daily after I cleanse my face and dab a bit on the spots with my fingertips. The first few times I noticed a drying and stinging sensation that resolved quickly . It is so strange to look at myself without makeup and see no red splotches. Even in the evenings when I dont use it I no longer see much redness. The sample vial still has plenty of product so I know it lasts a long time but this being Black Friday and all – I figured why risk running out??

Unfortunately I Cannot Use This Product

I had high hopes for this product but unfortunately, my skin starts burning a few seconds after application. I tried it several times but each time, I had to remove the product within a minute of application. I have been using Renova and Skinceuticals CE Ferulic for over a decade without any issues. I also tolerate Azelaic Acid, Niacinamide and Salicylic acid in reasonably low levels with no problems. My skin seemed calm and healthy before I started this product so I did not expect any reaction to the introduction of Kojic and Lactic acid instead of Renova once or twice a week. Why this product causes such a dramatic response is a mystery given the good reviews it has received by others. Very disappointed because both of these acids are supposed to work well for hyperpigmentation and this product is quite expensive.

The Results: Progress Is Visible

I know that to lighten any kind of age spot or scar, takes more than 3 weeks, but I am happy with the progress that I am seeing so far and will continue to use the gel until I am done with the treatment to see just how lightened these two problem areas have become.

After 3 weeks of applying the gel morning and night, I have noticed that the one spot on the left side of my face closer to my cheek is starting to fade a little more than the one thats higher up closer to my left eye.

The gel is easy to use, you tap it right on the spot and let it absorb, and the first few times I used it, I felt a slight stinging sensation where I applied the gel, but that went away after the third time and has not come back. My skin has not had any kind of adverse reaction to this product, whatsoever.
